Born and raised in the Chimayo Valley, weavers Eugene and Rose Vigil are dedicated to preserving and promoting the traditions of Hispanic weaving.  Rose and Eugene create the dye for their weaving by extracting natural pigmentation from the plants that surround them in northern New Mexico.  With patterns such as simple stripes, twills, and serrated diamonds, the Vigils weave designs that are representative of their culture.
